Something from me

I usually just post things I find on the net with some commentary here. However I'm just in the right mood to attempt to write something for whoever stumbles across this.

Firstly I'm tired. Tired physically, emotionally and mentally. I've been watching the world just spin into its usual madness and I am stuck wondering just how plain fucking awful we are to each other. As Bill Hicks once wisely pointed out "people suck". However Hicks also said "It's an insane world and I'm proud to be part of it".

Secondly I keep wondering about the future a lot. Mainly because my recent past has been really shitty and because my current state of affairs isn't too exciting. I'm wondering whether I can either improve the world for others so that people will suck less, or that life for others sucks less. Or whether I should just give up on everyone else and focus on myself and make my life better.

So let's see. Is it worth bothering with the rest of my species of just working out how to make sharing this small planet with them more bearable by just looking out for myself?

There's the big question. Maybe all those selfish shitty scumbags out there are actually people who just realized that it's not worth bothering with being nice and that looking out for themselves is all they can really do.

That's the real debate.
